1.Plot the following ordered pairs and connect the points.
A(2,4), B(-4,1), C(3,-2). What shape is this? Be specific.
2.Translate (slide) each point in this shape five units to the left and four units up. Connect the points.
3.Label the pre-image and image. Include “prime” symbols for each vertex. (see pg 232)
4.Explain what happens to the orientation of this shape when you translate it. (see page 233)
5.Describe another translation that would move your pre-image to the same location as your image.
6.Homework – page 234 #3,4,5 (explain!), 6, 7a), 7b), 8a), 8b), 9 (do not draw!),13,14

1.Describe the company and product shown on this advertisement.
2.Explain why you feel this advertisement is not effective. Be specific.
3.Explain who you think the target audience is for this product. Be specific. How do you know?
4.Re-design this advertisement to make it more effective. You can make changes (improvements) to the existing advertisement or start from scratch and make a completely different design. The re-design must be sketched out first (rough copy) and then created by hand or using a computer.
6.Explain, in detail why you feel your advertisement is more effective than the original.
